Cheers!

If you enjoy a glass of wine with dinner regularly, you owe it to yourself to investigate the on premise winemaking business. Well established in Ontario and B.C., and expanding to other provinces in Canada and to many American states, this industry offers you a way to enjoy wonderful wines for much less money.

Now, legally, you are "making" your own wine. In reality, you are only starting it and bottling it -- the on premise winemaking facility is actually doing all the heavy lifting and the hard work.

And, forget all thoughts of your neighbour's "home made wine."

The largest supliers to the industry are commercial wineries:

Andrew Peller owns Vineco and Winexpert and the WineKitz franchise. (It also owns the Wine Not franchise in Canada, but many of these locations are now Winexpert-branded stores.)

Vincor owns RJ Spagnols. Vincor is owned by Constellation Brands, the world's largest wine business by volume. Constellation is based in Victor, near Rochester, NY.

A third supplier, CellarCraft, is owned by Vitality Foodservice, an international juice business.

Today, prepackaged wine juices come from many countries and some are packed with matching grape skins which adds colour, flavour, body and a heap of authenticity to the winemaking process.

Usually, the most expensive on premise made wines are less expensive (on a per bottle basis) than the cheapest wine you will find at the retail wine store. And, they taste much better!

To learn more, please go to www.bloorwestwinery.com - this is my wife's business and as far as we know the largest winemaking business in Toronto's west end.

(And, yes, I did write the copy on the above website...and the informative approach works. This website outperforms the Yellow Pages and media advertising for new customer acquisition, both in volume and cost per new customer.)
